Start the morning with a Bird Walk in Edgehill Woods

Join a bird walk through Edgehill Woods led by Leigh Altadonna and Jennifer Sherwood from the Wycncote Audubon Society at 10:00-11:00. Walk up the driveway and meet on the lawn of Edgehill Castle. Bring binoculars if you own them. You will return in time for the start of the plant sale.

Meet native plant landscape designer Beverly Auvil

Beverly Auvil, of Beverly Auvil Landscape Design and Installation, will be at the nursery from 11:00-3:00 to answer your questions. Beverly specializes in designing gardens with native plants. She also enjoys incorporating edible plants into her designs.

Wyncote Audubon Society and Pollinator Plant Workshops 

The Wyncote Audubon Society will have information on their activities, bird walks, and how to provide habitat for birds in your garden with native plants. Attend a presentation by Audubon Society member and landscape designer Cindy Nuss on "Choosing Pollinator Plants for Your Garden"  at 12:00-12:30 or 2:00-2:30 and learn about native plants that attract and benefit butterflies, bees, and other native pollinators.

Meet native plant landscape designer Sarah Endriss

Sarah Endriss, of Asarum Land Design Group, will be at the nursery from 11:00-3:00 to answer your questions. Sarah specializes in designing gardens which draw inspiration from native plant communities. Attend her presentation "Planting for the Extremes" at 1:00-1:30. We know how to grow plants when the weather is good-- a healthy dose of sun, a little rain, mild temperatures-- but what happens during the extremes of summer and winter can profoundly affect the survival of your plants. Learn about native plants that have evolved to to survive extremes and how the plants in your garden can work as a system.

Rain Barrel Workshops with the Abington EAC

The Abington EAC will take orders for rain barrels from 11:00-3:00. Learn about the benefits of putting a rain barrel on your property by attending a workshop at the nursery at 12:00-12:30 or 2:00-2:30 and receive a $10 coupon towards the price of your rain barrel. Prices start at $40 for an unpainted barrel (price includes the $10 coupon). Barrels are also available with custom painting.
