Collins Nursery specializes in container grown plants that are native to the mid-Atlantic region. Our plants are propagated from locally collected seed whenever possible. Most of our plants are straight species making them suitable for both gardens and ecological restoration. We carry native trees, shrubs, perennials, ferns, grasses, and ground covers.
Collins Nursery is located at historic Edgehill Castle in Glenside, Pennsylvania. It was founded by John F. Collins, a Philadelphia landscape architect and former chairman of the Department of Landscape Architecture and Horticulture at Temple University. His lifelong passion for native plants led him to establish a plant nursery on his property. The nursery is currently maintained by the Collins family and nursery manager Diane Ehrich.
The nursery is open by appointment and during Open Houses in the spring and fall. Check this website for upcoming Open House dates. To arrange for an appointment, contact us by phone at (215) 715-3439 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
